About these figures
Results, dates and venues come from Rugby League Project, and the totals match its own summary pages, points included. Rugby League Project lists the first meeting as a Northern Union match at Knowsley Road on 16 November 1895, a 0–0 draw. Two matches abandoned on Boxing Day (1944 and 1968) are not counted. The Wikipedia rivalry page gives a slightly different total because it also counts friendlies and dates from May 2026. Good Friday dates are worked out from each year’s Easter. Clubs are listed alphabetically throughout.
